- New Japan booker Riki Choshu pulled former IWGP Heavyweight champion Hiroshi Tanahashi from the booking sheets due to a bad knee injury. NJPW has announced that Tanahashi's knee requires surgery, and would be taking time off to heal up.
- Shinjiro Ohtani held a press conference to update his condition. He said he suffered a concussion in a match with Takao Omori. Ohtani was taken to a Tokyo hospital after getting knocked unconscious. Ohtani denied reports of his impending retirement.
- D-Lo Brown and Bull Buchanan will receive their GHC Tag Team title match on 6/8 in Yokohama against Jun Akiyama and Takeshi Rikio.
- Bison Smith is slated to face Mitsuhara Misawa on 6/3 in Sapporo for the GHC Heavyweight title.
